Leather

Leather arts are diverse in their own way. Leather is somewhat like textile, but can be very structural as well. I have worked with garment leather to create pouches and covers. I have also learned how to carve and stamp leather. With the leather carving and stamping goes hand in hand leather dying and painting. Most leather projects involve stitching and sewing, though leather suitible for carving is very structural. I have worked on knife sheaths, pieces of armour, and a leather chest. They say leather was the plastic of the middle ages. I want to do much more leather carving.
