Textile

I enjoy sewing and make my own medieval garb for functions in the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) a medieval recreation society. I also design and create other costumes. I'd like to try my hand at making stuffed animals and puppets and similar 3D fabric sculpture.

I have done both needlepoint and embroidery. I have done most of my embroidery as trim for SCA garb which is of course of a medieval historic nature.

Batik is interesting and prehaps more related to painting than other textile arts, but I wonder where stretching canvas for paintings fits in too.
