Yes, Pendra does come from Naboo. Her parents actually both are on the Royal Guard with her Father high up in Palace Security. Pendra actually has chosen to take her Father's last name of Pendrada rather than her Mother's for the sake of cutting down on questions. There have been more than a few members of her line who have been elected as King or Queen and sat in that position. In fact Pendra's younger sister has been elected and will be the next Queen. There always was discussion that if Pendra, known as Allie to family and friends on Naboo, had not taken on the radical calling of the Jedi that she might have been a good candidate for ruler of the Naboo. Pendra however is quite content in her calling.
Pendra does not know if her calling will lead her yet into a consulor role or perhaps even to more scholarly pursuits or even healing. She suspects she will always be heavy into a role in rather active diplomacy though is not sure if becoming a master of combat is her path. Still, she is mastering using two light sabres at once. She has modified one of the two light sabres she has made into a two phased one with a second setting which can project a nearly double length "Great Light Sabre" blade. For flexibility she has also modified her other light sabre into a three phased one with three settings. In addition to the normal blade there is a setting for a half length blade for use in cramped quarters and a diffused setting normally found on padawan youngling practice sabres which will not cut but only deliver a stunning but painful blow. Pendra thought this non-lethal setting might come in handy some day.
Pendra has been travelling with another Padawan, a Chiss named Kali. This blue skinned native of Chiss has been following the path of consulor as a Jedi, but Pedra wonders if she is more tempered to be a guardian. Pendra worries that Kali might have a temper which is not far beneath her cool blue exterior which might hamper her path and cause her to stray towards the dark side. They have finally left the company of the Kushiban drug runner who caused no end of trouble, but now they are in the company of two young force users, Svarri, a small Bimm woman and Brul who are Jedi trained and slightly tainted with the dark side though seemingly good at heart.
There is something brewing though that it seems that Kali and Pendra won't be able to face alone and Allies can be important at times if one takes care. It might even be possible to undo whatever taint these two have taken on. Still Pendra knows little of the diminutive Svarri and the brusk, well equiped, Brul.
Pendra wonders what her future brings. She seems to be following in some rather auspicious and scary footsteps having in her young career as Padawan already lost her right hand in battle to a blaster shot. While it is true the cybernetic prosthetic seems even more dexterous than her original, she remembers the stories of other illusterous Jedi who lost a hand early in their careers. Pendra will remain vigilent against the temptations of the Dark side. Now to figure out this Lambda Shuttle they escaped on. It also seems she had better bone up on her starship operations...
